We have robust undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in mechanical engineering. Specialisation areas in the Department include Mechanical, Energy, Production, Automotive, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. 

The mission of the Department is to train future innovative leaders in mechanical engineering disciplines with creativity, broad vision, global outlook and professional ethics for industry, academia, government and communities. We have built a solid foundation for nurturing engineers with good technical know-how, problem solving skills and high-quality engineering education to better the society.

At present, the department has 10 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 7 Senior Lecturers and other categories of Lecturers. We have grown our expertise and competence in Energy, Production, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering curriculum and research.
